Frequently Asked Questions
What’s it like to like to have me as your celebrant?
Collaborative, honest, and straightforward. I’m here to guide the process, bring ideas to the table, and keep things moving.
What makes you different from other celebrants?
I focus on creating ceremonies that feel relaxed, genuine and easy to be part of.
No awkward moments, no copy-paste scripts — just something that reflects your story and keeps your guests engaged.
Most importantly, I make sure you feel present, at ease and able to truly enjoy the moment.
What if we’re nervous about being the centre of attention?
You’re not alone — so many couples feel this way. My job is to make you feel calm, comfortable and completely supported.
I’ll guide you through everything on the day, so you’re never left wondering what to do or where to stand.
The ceremony is designed to feel relaxed and natural — not staged or overwhelming — so you can actually enjoy the moment!
What is your booking process like?
Booking me is simple and stress-free. Start by getting in touch via my enquiry form, email or phone.
Once I confirm I’m available, we’ll organise a relaxed, no-pressure chat (a bit of a “vibe check”) to make sure we’re the right fit.
From there, I’ll send through a booking agreement and deposit invoice to secure your date.
After that, I’ll guide you through the entire process — with plenty of support along the way — so everything feels easy and organised.
How do we know if you’re the right celebrant for us?
The best way is to have a quick chat.
That’s why I offer a relaxed, obligation-free call — so you can ask questions, get a feel for how I work, and see if we click.
Choosing your celebrant is a personal decision, and it should feel like the right fit.
Do we have to write our own vows?
Not at all — it’s completely up to you.
Some couples love writing their own vows, while others prefer to keep things simple.
I’ll guide you either way, with examples, prompts and support if you’d like help.
There’s no pressure — we’ll do what feels right for you.
Can we include personal touches in the ceremony?
Absolutely — and I highly encourage it.
Whether it’s personal vows, readings, cultural traditions, music, or including family and friends,
we can create something that feels truly reflective of your relationship.
No two ceremonies are ever the same.
How long is a typical ceremony?
Most ceremonies run for around 20–30 minutes.
That said, every ceremony is different — I’ll tailor the length to suit your vision, making sure it feels just right for you
(and keeps your guests engaged).
What if you’re sick on the day?
While it’s never happened (and I truly hope it doesn’t!), I always have a backup plan.
I’m part of The Celebrant Society, a supportive network of experienced celebrants, so if anything unexpected ever came up,
I’d organise a like-minded celebrant to step in.
Everything would be handled seamlessly, so you wouldn’t have to worry.
Do you provide a PA system?
Yes — I use a Bose S1 Pro speaker and a Sennheiser wireless microphone, so your ceremony is clear and easy to hear.
You’re also welcome to use the speaker for music before the ceremony begins.
Do you travel?
I absolutely do- and LOVE to!
Travel within 40km of Wonga Park is included, with a small fee of $1 per additional kilometre beyond that.
What will you wear on the day?
I always aim to complement your wedding style and blend seamlessly into your day.
We’ll chat about your colours and overall vibe so I can choose something that fits perfectly.
Can a friend or family member lead our ceremony?
Kind of yes… and kind of no!
For your marriage to be legally binding, the legal components must be conducted by an authorised celebrant.
However, your loved ones can absolutely be involved in meaningful ways — and I’ll help you incorporate them seamlessly.
How do we get started?
Simply fill out my enquiry form and I’ll get back to you within 24 hours (Please keep an eye on your junk mail incase my reply sneaks in there!).
From there, we’ll organise a quick chat and take it step by step.
